It’s been a while since my last email update and I just wanted to let everyone know what I’ve been. There have been quite a few changes to the website and I’d definitely like your feedback on them or any suggestions on how to improve further. Actually, a few of the recent improvements were suggested by my students.
1) New Logo
Every business needs a logo, but it took a while to find the right one. As you can probably tell it represents the four elements of IELTS, with band 7+ aeroplanes with the flags of common destinations that IELTS students want to move to. I already have plenty of success stories of students who have already moved to these countries and will be sharing them in the next few months.
2) Instagram page
I created an Instagram page for IELTS Matt and have now started posting frequently there. My idea is to post a word or phrase everyday which will help you to improve your lexical resource score. In the next month or so, I’m planning to make videos too (but I have to get over the fear first) 🙂 Here’s an example of one of the posts. Search for ieltsmatt on Instagram to find me or click the button below.

3) I’ve re-arranged certain areas of the website to make them more user-friendly. Check out the new blog by following the link above, in my opinion, it’s more visually appealing and easy to find things.
4) I now have a Whatsapp button on the website which is based on student’s feedback. To be honest, nobody really likes a contact form. Anyway, if you have an urgent question, that’s probably the best option.
5) Coming soon-here’s a list of the blog posts you can expect in May
A) An updated list of part 2 speaking topics for May-August
B) Advice about how to practice speaking on your own
C) Information about the differences between writing a formal and informal letter.
D) Better ways to give examples in writing task 2.
I hope you enjoyed the email and I promise they’ll come more frequently now.
Keep in touch and let me know what you think of the new changes 🙂
Matt
