Over the last year and a half I have been learning English with Matt, who has helped me improve grammar, gain a significant increase in my active vocabulary, and build confidence to take the IELTS exam and eventually pass it with an overall band score of 7.5! Without his tutoring, corrections, and great insights on IELTS format it would have been nearly impossible for me to achieve such a result. Before contacting Matt, I was struggling with my writing. I couldn't get more than 6,5 while preparing on my own. But after the editing classes, I've learned how to structure the essay, which words and collocations to use, and what is the most important - I've managed to write the cohesive text. What is more, I've understood how to express all my thoughts and give relative examples within a tight limit of 250-300 words. As a final result, I've managed to get 7.5 for writing after the 17 essays corrected by Matt. I would totally recommend Matt as a teacher because he gives incredibly detailed feedback on all the mistakes, provides examples of correct writing, and suggest which rules to apply in every situation. Also, Matt is always open to questions and ready to lead you the way through the language.

I am grateful to Matt for my IELTS preparation. I have made six attempts, and two of them were successful. First two attempts, I was looking for a tutor, and then I found Matt. I started my journey of preparation to an IELTS exam a year ago while my level was approximately 5. A week ago I received incredible results with 7.0 for Writing and 7.5 for speaking. I reckon that these outstanding scores speak for themselves. Frankly speaking, back in the day, I remember I knew nothing about the exam and how to deal with this challenge. I barely could speak fluently and made a lot of mistakes. On top of that, my writing was awful and I didn't comply with the correct structure of a letter. Matt has helped me to fix blind spots in my knowledge of the language and has made my English more advanced and fluent. "I was intensely preparing for IELTS for 9 months. While my other scores were from 7.5 to 9.0 with an overall 7.5, I continuously got 6.5 in Writing for 5 times. I got my expected results on the IELTS Test in few months studying with Matthew, even though my previous English level was quite low. At first, I had got no idea about how this kind of test worked. Matthew was absolutely able to prepare me for each part of the test. He could identify which parts I needed more improvements and work better on it. Matthew has a great knowledge about IELTS and this is the main key. I got my score and also had a big boost in my English with him.
